whats up everyone? today we’re going to take you on a trip up the california coast to a destination wedding in one of our favorite little towns, santa barbara. sudha and sean chose to head out with their family and friends and have a nice little intimate wedding in the mural room at the santa barbara courthouse.
now, if you haven’t seen this place, i know what you’re thinking… “a courthouse? eww. seriously? so gross.” that’s what i thought, before we shot there for the first time a few years ago.
the santa barbara courthouse, like this couple, is absolutely beautiful. sometimes i wish i shot video so i could share the voices from a wedding. this one was so full of sweetness. listening to everyone that spoke during the ceremony and reception, it was easy to see how perfect these two are for each other. every speech was touching and filled to the rim with love and admiration. hopefully my stills convey what everyone felt.
not to switch gears, but thanks to sean i can never again say that i am tired before a wedding. he went on a 40 mile bike ride through the hills of santa barbara to “relax” before the wedding. i need to step up my game.
aside from the everyday super-human feats of awesomeness, sudha and sean are seriously one of the most chill, fun couples on the planet. when we met sudha and sean at the canary hotel to catch them getting ready there was no crazy mad rush, no stress, no anxiety. all we saw on their faces was happiness. as it should be on your wedding day.
congratulations sudha and sean! we wish you a lifetime of happy days together. can’t wait to see you in san francisco for your “day after” session!
