i am so excited to share this post with everyone! not just because it’s an engagement session at petco park or because i’ve been saving these images for a long time or even because i just drank 8 cans of monster, i’m excited because of the way this couple makes me feel. every time i talk with them or see them they brighten my day. we’ve set new records for meeting lengths the last two times we sat down with them. they are the kind of people you just want to be around. you know what i mean? they’re happy for every reason, and no reason at all. no, they’re not village idiots with a combined iq of 5. quite the opposite actually. they’re both brilliant, funny, brave, and have schedules as busy as ours, if not busier. without ever saying it, you can see in their hearts that they truly appreciate everything they have, especially each other.
carolyn and jeff, i am so thankful that you found us and for all the smiles you continue to bring us. kim and i can’t wait for your wedding!
we decided to start their session at petco park because carolyn bought jeff padres season tickets this year as an early wedding gift. no, it wasn’t meant as a gag gift. the padres are just making it feel like it was. as we walked into the seedy underbelly of petco park we were whisked away to brighter days of padres past. san diego sports highlights are few and far between so they all fit neatly in one convenient hallway. are you sensing my bitterness? i love my city and my teams but man, they are killing me softly.
carolyn and jeff have inside hookups with the padres so we got to go on the field (not the grass!) and in the dugout. sadly, half of the field was under repair so we only got to walk on the left side, but it was still pretty sweet.
the padres do a lot to support our military so jeff, being an airforce veteran, threw on his digital cami padres jersey to give a little love back.
carolyn thought she’d jump up and snag this foul ball. what she failed to remember is that the seats automatically retract when you stand up. the bruise that would soon be forming on her left arm reminded her.
with the kind of start the padres are off to i couldn’t blame jeff for wanting to switch into his d-back’s jersey. i didn’t say i liked it. i just said i couldn’t blame him. like us, carolyn decided to stay the course and continue supporting the home team.
357, the number of times we laughed during this session.
oh, before i forget, i have to send a huge thank you to our awesome chaperone. thank you steve!
with petco park behind us we headed over to balboa park to catch some of that late afternoon sweet sweet san diego sunshine.
upon arrival we noticed that jeff and carolyn had both slid into something with a little more sizzle. they are one smokin hot couple.
carolyn said she loved this dress so much she bought two of them. she looks amazing in it! personally, i think she should get a whole stack of em and start wearing them to jeff’s rugby matches to distract the other teams. can you say championship?
do you love these two yet? how bout now? how bout now?
